This page presents my contribution to the Intech Studio Kickstarter campaign.
I was part of the creative team and worked on the visual direction, 3D design and campaign presentation.
This is a case study of my role and process — not a product for sale.

VSN1 is a modular control unit designed to redefine how people interact with digital tools.

The Kickstarter campaign was not only about launching a new product —
it was about reframing Grid as a universal creative controller platform.
Campaign Goal
The campaign had two parallel goals:
-
Launch and validate the VSN1 module
-
Expand the target audience without alienating the existing Grid user base
VSN1 was designed as a bridge module — connecting current musicians with new creative communities.

Target Audience Strategy
Existing audience
Musicians & synth users
Experimental producers and modular enthusiasts.
New audience segments
Gamers
Digital artists (Photoshop, digital painting)
Photographers
Video editors
The challenge was to introduce flexibility and openness
without making the product feel fragmented or unfocused.
Campaign Story
Keyboard + Mouse 2.0

Creative workflows are evolving.
Keyboards and mice are no longer enough.
Existing controllers are often locked to a single purpose.
VSN1 changes that.
A modular, customizable control system
that adapts to your workflow — not the other way around.
Thanks to the open-source editor software,
one controller can be used across music, design, gaming, and editing.

Why this product matters
Why VSN1 Needed to Exist

One device for multiple creative disciplines
-
Full customization through open software
-
A clean, distraction-free physical design
The product stays out of the way —
so creators can focus on creation.
